HypaStop Haemostatic Gauze (also known as a dressing) is designed for temporary control of surface bleeding through absorption and contact with the wound surface.

This pack comes with five HypaStop Haemostatic Gauzes, each individually wrapped to ensure first aiders have immediate access to sterile gauze.

How Does HypaStop Haemostatic Gauze Work?
This haemostatic gauze works by absorbing wound exudate and forming a gel-like mass upon contact with fluid.

What Agent is the Active Ingredient?
HypaStop Haemostatic Gauze is composed of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na-CMC). It absorbs fluid and forms a gel-like mass that conforms to the wound surface.

How to Use HypaStop Haemostatic Gauze
The HypaStop Haemostatic Gauze is simple to use, even with no first aid training. It can be administered for either shallow cuts. To use the gauze for shallow cuts, it should be held against the wound while maintaining pressure, either manually or through the use of a bandage.

Haemostatic gauze should not be used for:

• A patient's airway or chest
• A patient's eyes
• Any serious head injury which exposes brain tissue
